Join the Sacramento Literacy Coalition which meets on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 10:00am PST. Sacramento’s Literacy Coalition brings together local and statewide organizations, literacy non-profits, education administrators, government officials, funders and like-minded individuals to advance literacy in our region. Our goals are:
- Raising awareness of the literacy crisis in our region,
- Increasing out-of-school time literacy programming: tutoring, summer reading, book giveaways, etc.,
- Identifying potential funders and grantors to support literacy offerings,
- Advocating for the Science of Reading in all classrooms
The Sacramento Literacy Coalition meets on the first Wednesday of each month between 10:00 and 11:00am on zoom and all are welcome. After signing up here, you will be sent the ZOOM link on or before the next meeting.
