THE POHAKU: History at Sutter’s Fort Revisited and Revealed 

 

Take another look at the history of Sutter’s Fort from the view of award-winning author Jasmin Iolani Hakes, author of THE POHAKU; a dazzling saga about the generations of women tasked with protecting the history and the place that made them. Join award-winning author Jasmine Iolani Hakes, the Ohana Dance Company for an unforgettable evening that will bring forward some of the rich culture forged between the Hawaiian tribal communities here in Sacramento.

Come enjoy an evening of great food, wine, and conversation in this historic venue and learn about the “people’s history” surrounding Sutter’s Fort. Each ticket includes a copy of The Pohaku, complimentary wine and curated appetizers. Tickets are $125 per person.
