Sacramento’s Premier Literary Event
Saturday March 13, 2027 – 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel
1230 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95814
It’s the 25th Anniversary of Authors on the Move and we are clebrating. We are bringing three powerful female keynote writers for a night of literary adventure and delight.
These three award winning authors, Myriam Gurba, Alka Joshi, and Wayétu Moore come from three countries, write in three different genres, and have 3 generational perspectives. In addition to these three writers, we will have 21 + regional authors in the room talking to guests about their more recently published books.
Authors on the Move is the Sacramento Literacy Foundation’s signature annual event, bringing together a distinguished cohort of authors, community leaders, and philanthropists committed to children having the literacy skills they need for life.
Every ticket, auction bid, and sponsorship directly funds our work to place culturally relevant books in the homes of under-resourced children and advocate for evidence-based reading instruction in Sacramento-area schools. By connecting passionate readers with celebrated authors, we bring together the community that cares the most about all children reading.
